Flight over: Went quickly. Milo was a very good dog.
Day 1: Checked in at immigration, checked into our apartment, opened bank accounts, and furniture shopped....all with the help of the relocation assistance company. Milo was NOT good and pooped in the lady's car and then destroyed his expensive Delta pet carrying case.
Day 2: IKEA delivered furniture and Adam put it together. We don't have much interest in building another box spring if we can help it. Grocery shopping is convenient- one of the Albert Heijn chains is adjacent to our apartment building. The only trouble is its 90% Dutch so we're learning new words such as ui (onion), bonen (bean), peanutbutter (peanut butter), and so on. For the foodies out there...Europe has their own version of SPAM but its called SMAK. For dinner tonight we THINK we ate brats.
Day 3: Walked to the bank and to some other shops. Adam's big adventure is trying to figure out how our washer/dryer works. Maybe tomorrow I can shower, because tonight the towels are soaking wet. We tried to leave Milo a few times and he wasn't havin it. But tonight we gave him some anti-anxiety meds (prescribed by his vet in MN) and made a 2 minute trip to the store.
